ROM AG, Frauenfeld is Now Part of Kompogas AG
Since, June 13th 2007 when Kompogas bought ROM AG builds and operates fermentation systems which produce biogas, electricity, and fertiliser from organic waste. As an essential complement to its core activities up to this point, Kompogas is completing the 100 per cent takeover of ROM AG in Frauenfeld.
ROM AG is run as an independent subsidiary of Kompogas AG, and retains its own corporate identity.
ROM AG is an Anaerobic Digestion Plant Operator, which processes around 60,000 tons of organic waste in East Switzerland, and produces from this compost and fertiliser.
ROM AG also operates a number of collection and compost sites which includes sites in Frauenfeld, Winterthur, Landquart and Herisau, Switzerland.
In addition, the company runs a Kompogas fermenter in Jona, St. Gallen. ROM AG is one of the leading companies in Switzerland for producing high-quality compost.
Kompogas Group has by making this acquisition has further increased its expertise in processing organic material into compost, demonstrating that it is experienced in the entire anaerobic treatment cycle, up to the point of the completion of the sustainability loop. That is that Kompogas processes complete the cycle at the point where biomass is placed back into the ground as high-quality compost.
